The identity of the deceased, who was inside the building during the time of the explosion, was confirmed dead on the scene.
Police Scotland said: “What exactly transpired in this property remains under investigation on our part.” But we have seen that one male has died” The force added that “follow-up actions that include inquiries to confirm his identity and to ensure his next of kin is availed all the support they may require are ongoing.”
What Injuries Were Reported, and What Medical Response Was Initiated?
The blast injured three people, and they were immediately evacuated to Forth Valley Royal Infirmary. It is not clear to what extent the blast has damaged the couple.
Police Scotland received reports of the incident around 6:12:00 PM, which meant a building had been devastated. Eleven vehicles, including specialist units and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, were sent to the scene.

Some people affected by the gas explosion were residents who stayed in the building’s flats, and the Alloa Town Hall has been arranged for them as a temporary shelter. The firefighters are currently evaluating the gas and electrical systems that may pose a danger to the surrounding area.
The police have also stated that residents will “be appropriately supported with alternative accommodation if your property is deemed too dangerous to re-enter.”

The fire service has scrambled specialist urban search and rescue teams and a heavy rescue team to help secure the area. A service representative said: “Crews are collaborating with partners in the emergency services to ensure that the place is safe.”

The A907 and B9096 will be closed by the police; Kellie Place and Tullibody Road will also be closed. While some are being done today and tomorrow, authorities said more may result in closure in the next few days due to more utility work.
